So you might have noticed that here at Nundah’s best salon, Helmet Hair Co., we proudly use Olaplex, and, you might be wondering, what is it?! Here we break down the Olaplex difference, why we choose to use it and now it helps ensure you guys get the best balayages, blondes, bleaches and brunettes possible. We take hair colour very, very seriously so we only use the very best products on each and every client.

In technical terms, this amazing product uses original, unique and patented chemistry that multiplies bonds and cross-links broken bonds. We can use it in your colour services or as a stand-alone treatment and it’s single active ingredient will help repair the hair from within. The result for you? Stronger and healthier hair, plus longer lasting colour with more vibrancy.

How does it do it? It actually builds and repairs broken bonds to restore integrity of the hair; reducing hair porosity, making colour last longer whilst preventing fading. It can increase elasticity and restore hair to its natural texture and state. Plus, the hair just keeps getting better with the use of Olaplex over time!

Get your treatment on with Olaplex N°3 in three easy steps. 🗯 Step 1: Apply a generous amount to towel-dried hair and comb through. Step 2: Leave on for a minimum of 10 minutes. Keep in mind, the longer it’s on, the more effective it is, especially for hair that is compromised. We’ve seen great results from people who leave the No.3 on longer! Step 3: Rinse, shampoo and condition. Remember, this is NOT a conditioning treatment. No.3 is meant to be shampooed out of the hair and followed up with your regular shampoo/condition regimen.

There are a few products in the range, here is the breakdown of 1-3;

The No. 1 Bond Multiplier is added directly into colour or lightener to actively protect and rebuild hair during lightening or colouring.

The No. 2 Bond Perfector is a cream formula for ease of application after a colour service or as an express treatment, restoring the strength, structure and integrity hair.

The No. 3 Hair Perfector is your ‘take-home’ portion of the service, enabling the maintenance of strong, healthy hair in between our colour services.

In short, it’s a pretty amazing product and the crew here at Helmet love it.
