14 Jan HELMET MUSE: golden globes glamour girls
It’s awards season! Let the red carpets begin. As always, the year kicks off with the Golden Globes and we love the laid back fun before we hit the seriousness of the Oscars. Here, the team from Nundah’s best hair salon run through the very best cuts, the very best colours and the very best styles to walk down the red carpet.
Charlize Theron
Charlize looked so stunning! What we love most about this look is that it elevates the simple bob into something exciting and structural. Started with a deep side part, the key element here is the sleek, glossy finish, with not a hair out of place. The hair is pulled tightly back behind the ears and then straightened with a slight flick to follow the curve of the neck. The look lifts the face and adds plenty of glamour.
Thandie Newton
These curls are perfection. Paying tribute to her natural hair texture, these curls provide volume to the max. Layers upon layers, these curls are well moisturised and carefully styled to ensure the balance between frizz and shine. The centre part maintains a touch of control among the coils and helps with the perfect framing of the face.
Kate Mara
Just simply one of the coolest looks of the day. We love that this is anything but the typical pulled up top-knot and is instead more of an art piece. The overall look is quite harsh and stark but in combination with the dress and the addition of the metallic thread gives it a futuristic vibe that just works.
Emily Blunt
Mary Poppins herself, Emily, had the most romantic hair. The soft and ethereal fish tail braid was created loosely to be voluminous and textured. It pulls the hair from the face and works it down to the nape of the neck where it is twisted under into a tucked chignon finish. The final touches included a few carefully placed face framing strands and stunning floral jewels.
