HELMET STYLE: the bob

HELMET STYLE: the bob

The last month has been a roll call of red carpet looks and we have loved seeing all the hair-spiration coming straight out of some of Hollywood’s biggest night of nights and the busiest days of the year for LA’s glam squad of hairdressers, colourists, stylists and make-up artists as they all tend to their VIP clients. With every single detail critiqued, it’s essential to get every element right, especially when it comes to the most important part- the hair!

Our award-winning team of Brisbane’s best hairdressers at our Nundah salon love getting inspiration like this that we can then use on our amazing clients. Because why shouldn’t we all feel red carpet ready every day?! While we all know there are a few sneaky lobs trying to work their way in, here we wanted to celebrate the classic and iconic bob.

Last night with Kerry was a dream. ✨ I loved this chic and sexy hair for her. Go Kerry go! 😍 Swipe through to see her hair from every angle 📷. If you’re interested in getting this hair for yourself, KEEP READING! . #BeautyBreakdown: . First, I used @teatreehaircare Lavender Mint shampoo and conditioner to cleanse her hair and give it moisture and strength. I sprayed some leave-in conditioner and made sure it was evenly distributed before blowing her hair out. I then flat ironed her hair and cut it to create that gorgeous blunt bob effect. I put a dime size of oil at the end to add some shine. Lastly, I calmed down her flyaways with a toothbrush and some @PaulMitchell hairspray! Voilà! Ready to stunt on everyone at the red carpet. 👸🏾✨ . . . . . There is nothing as refreshing as taking the plunge with a short sassy bob cut, and you might be surprised to find that they can actually be suited to all face shapes. The cut does, however, respond very differently depending on the texture of your hair. The most important thing here is to make sure you put yourself in our expert hands as you really need the best hairdresser to provide the perfect bob for you.

Here are some tips to get a timeless sexy and sleek bob looking perfect:

Get out your straightener because that is the most important tool required for this look. Ideally you will pop in a heat protectant before blow drying and setting your centre part. Work in small sections to ensure you iron out every little wave as this look leaves no room for error. Straighten the hair downwards, working from the bottom sections up to the crown sections on top. Allow to cool then brush gently. Once finished, use a lacquer spray and a toothbrush or soft bristle brush to tame any flyaways.
