GIRL CRUSH: cara delevingne

GIRL CRUSH: cara delevingne

One of the most prolific models in recent years, it seemed like a couple of years ago Cara was literally everywhere! This English beauty won just as many fans for her stunning features as her kooky personality and that is why the best hairdressers in Brisbane at Helmet Hair Co. can’t get enough of Cara. She has pretty much walked every catwalk and graced every major campaign there is, and along the way her hair has taken centre stage. We always strive to create the best haircuts in Nundah here and everyone who wants the perfect pixie cut brings in a pic of her trademark look. In fact we have named it the Cara!

Here we run through a few fun facts about Cara;

She was born in Hammersmith, London, the daughter of Pandora Anne Delevingne (née Stevens) and property developer Charles Hamar Delevingne and grew up in Belgravia, London, one of the wealthiest districts in the world. She is a true London party girl at heart and close friends with William and Harry as well as a slew of the London based models and identities.

She is a true chameleon and happy to change her hair for roles and shoots, in fact she relishes the challenge and excitement of trying new things. It’s this adventurous spirit and ability to transform that has helped her develop a career as an actress in major films.

She works with long time hairdresser Mara Roszak to create her adventurous looks, right down to shaving her head and getting Mara to create a faux scalp tattoo! Mara created her iconic pixie and explains this wide advice about short hair: “We’ve been told short hair is limited, that it’s not feminine. There are endless possibilities with short hair. It’s so feminine, and there’s so much you can do. It’s really just about having fun.”

She loves bacon so much she had it tattooed on her foot, along with at least 20 other designs all over her body.

One of her calling cards as a model is her famously untouched brows, credited with single-handedly reducing Google searches for “eyebrow plucking” and a downturn in tweezer sales back in 2013! We still can’t get enough of her untamed arches.
